The Georgia General Assembly is finishing up biznazz today in el capital, giving a new twisted meaning to the word “progress.”
The good:
1. You can bring home bottles of wine purchased in a restaurant as long as it’s sealed and locked up in the trunk or glove compartment (which doesn’t mean much to me, since I’ve yet to leave an unfinished, 70% marked-up bottle at a restaurant).
2. You can also now order wine online directly from wineries. Hopefully these guys will be included soon.
The bad:
1. Buying booze on Sundays? Still a big, fat NO.
2. HB 89 passed. You can now carry your concealed weapon-permitted gun in public spaces like restaurants, parks, MARTA and workplace parking lots. Oh goody.

And you can still buy a grenade launcher anytime.
I support 2. No surprise. A licensed and permitted gun is a good deterrent to unlicensed and unpermitted guns.
I think it will make those areas safer.
I for one support the right to buy anything over the internets, especially alcohol. If they could deliver it to me in a timely fashion, even better…
